This Victorian building was split down into a number of small commercial units but due to the age of the building it had become unviable due to various structural issues.

The building was acquired by the Cadenza Group where upon negotiations opened with the Local Authority and ultimately a scheme of 55 units over 5 upper floors was granted by the Local Authority. There was also a large basement and further parking within the grounds. Due to the sensitive location of the building as it very closely adjoined a smaller two storey cottages much work was done

with the local residents to ensure the design of the scheme best reflected not just the setting of the existing building but also that of their own premises.

The scheme provided for 25% affordable housing in accordance with the Council’s policy requirements.
