This redundant brewery, covering some 5.5 acres of Bristol’s historic waterside was purchased unconditionally from Scottish and Newcastle, with a joint venture partner.

A project as ambitious as this required a great deal of consideration, planning and vision. Such was the focus of Cadenza, that full and detailed planning was achieved within just nine months.

The new scheme has been designed to create a high quality, high density, primarily residential, urban mixed-use development that has now resulted in the comprehensive regeneration of a significant part of Bristol’s harbourside.

Cadenza has created separate phases of commercial, leisure and retail units with the majority of the project being dedicated to residential use, providing a broad spectrum of accommodation and tenure that enhances this historic city centre location. Extending to 750,000 sq ft, this urban regeneration project provides for every aspect of professional and social life and will continue to vastly increase the revenue of the surrounding area.
